Bangalore test was fixed by Indian Govt?
I have got totally turned off after the 3rd and final test match (Bangalore), where India snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. So many fishy things occurred that I am convinced the match was fixed. Perhaps the Indian players were under orders from the psec Govt itself to lose???
On the 4th day, when the pressure was on pak (it had to score runs fast and set India a challenging target, while leaving itself sufficient overs to bowl the "formidable" Indians out a second time):
- Harbhajan Singh was not given the ball. Even a part-time spinner Tendulkar turned his arm for 14+ overs before Harbhajan was summoned. (Harbhajan Singh was our most successful bowler in the 1st innings, he took 6 wkts!!).
- Despite a so-called defensive field (designed to save runs, not take wickets) and negative bowling (again apparently designed to stem the flow of runs), Pak was allowed to score at a frenetic pace.
- The usually reliable (he has over 120 test catches) slip-catcher, Dravid, dropped several catches. In the 1st innings too, he dropped Younis Khan at 177, who went on to make 267.)

On the 5th day, when India continued their run-chase (what a joke!)
- Our best batsman (some would say only batsman), Sehwag, was deliberately run out. It was his partner's call, who made sure Sehwag was well and truly stranded before turning his back.
- The rest of our "famed" batting line-up, downed shutters and made a pretense of fighting for a draw. There were no demons in the pitch, and the bowling was hardly intimidating; yet 'stalwarts' like Tendulkar, Dravid, Ganguly and Laxman pushed and prodded like bunnies. They allowed Pak to literally ring them with umbrella field-settings. Even tame balls were blocked as if they were deadly cobras.
The less said about our captain courageous, the better. For his own welfare, he should be put to pasture, at least for test matches.

I used to think that only one-dayers are tainted, that test matches have remained "clean". Now I know better.
I urge all fans to boycott the upcoming one-dayers. The Board, players, Govt, sponsors all need a wake-up call. Let them wake up to empty stadia!
